Latest Release: April 2026
In March we focused on automation and eliminating repetitive tasks. These updates make it easier to keep your data flowing automatically, reduce manual reporting work, and quickly recreate your most successful campaigns.
Highlights
1) Your Data, Your Way: Custom and Scheduled Exports
Tatango’s new export tools give you full control over your subscriber data. With Custom Exports, you can hand-pick exactly which fields to include, apply filters by tags or subscriber attributes, sort your results, and run instantly or on a recurring schedule. With Scheduled Exports, you can automate delivery of your standard reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly cadence. Both options deliver reports straight to Email, Amazon S3, SFTP, or Google Sheets with no manual downloading needed.
Getting started is simple:
- Choose your dataset, fields, filters, and sorting
- Run instantly or set a recurring schedule
- Deliver reports automatically to Email, Amazon S3, SFTP, or Google Sheets
2) Keep Subscriber Data Updated Automatically via SFTP
Easily keep your subscriber data up to date, no native integration required.
If we don’t currently have a native integration with your CRM or fundraising platform, you can use SFTP as a simple and scalable alternative. As long as your system can export CSV files to an SFTP server, Tatango can automatically pull in that data on a daily schedule.
Once you set up your field mapping, your subscriber list stays in sync—no manual uploads or coordination between teams.
Getting started is simple:
- Connect your SFTP server through a guided setup
- Map your CSV fields to Tatango fields (including custom fields)
- Choose your preferred daily sync time
From there, everything runs automatically. Your system continues its regular exports, and Tatango keeps your data up to date behind the scenes.
3) Clone Scheduled Messages
Duplicate any scheduled message with one click, perfect for campaigns you run season after season.
Stop rebuilding the same messages every year. Clone your proven winners like welcome series, event reminders, seasonal campaigns, and you’re ready to go in seconds. It’s like having a template library of your best work, keeping your messaging consistent and your setup time minimal.
Go to the Scheduled tab in Messaging, click the dropdown arrow on any message, and select “Clone.” Your duplicate lands in Drafts, ready for any tweaks you want to make. All your existing tools (Edit, Pause/Resume, Report, Cancel) work just as they always have.
Other Updates
1) Advanced List Filtering for Segments
Target or exclude subscribers based on list membership with three new Phone Number condition operators.
Managing multiple lists just got easier. If you run separate lists for different purposes (like Marketing and Events), you can now exclude event participants from marketing sends or target specific list combinations without manual exports or workarounds. This gives you precise control over who receives each message.
In your segmentation builder, select the Phone Number condition and choose your operator:
- Is also on List – Target subscribers on both the current list and another
- Is not on List – Exclude subscribers from another list
- Is only on this List – Send only to subscribers who don’t appear elsewhere
Use the type-ahead search to quickly find and select which lists to include or exclude.
2) Favorite Your Saved Segments
Mark your most-used saved segments as favorites with a star icon. Favorited segments appear at the top of your saved segments list for quick access every time.
3) Message Scheduling Safeguard
A new safeguard prevents accidental scheduling of messages when audience size is zero by displaying a clear error message, disabling the Confirm Message button, and highlighting the recipient count in red (applies to standard broadcast messages only, not recurring messages).
