Latest Release: December 2025
Welcome to our last Product Pulse of 2025! This issue covers features released in November and December. Over the last few months our focus has been on continuing to help you respond smarter, work faster, and gain clearer insights from your messaging.
Highlights
1) Stay Outcome Focused with AI Message Goals
You can now set the Message Goal of each text. The Performance Dashboard then displays the goal alongside results adding important context for any viewer of the data.
Goals are detected and set automatically with the help of AI which maintains the create workflow simplicity our users love. If you disagree, you can always change it to what you feel most accurately represents the message’s focus and targeted outcome.
What’s new:
- Every outbound message now requires a goal to be assigned.
- AI automatically analyzes message content during creation and suggests one of four predefined goals:
- Raise Funds
- Cultivation
- Engagement
- Info and Admin
- Users can override the AI’s suggestion at any time.
- Goals are surfaced during message creation, setup confirmation, and the performance dashboard.
This update ensures the most relevant metrics are viewed in the context of their targeted outcome when evaluating message performance. Additionally, categorizing all messages will also enable us to provide you valuable, goal-specific trends and analysis across different types of fundraising, cultivation, or engagement messages in the new year.
2) Inbox: Dashboard Review Progress Visualized
Instantly see your progress reviewing constituent replies with our new achievement indicators in your Inbox Dashboard. Each tile now shows you total replies, read/unread progress bar, and categories complete.
Additionally, we expanded tile filtering to deepen exploration of conversations so you can keep your finger on the pulse of all requests and feedback. Now clicking on each tile will show you all messages (read and unread) while still seeing which replies still need review.
No more manually tracking constituent response progress. The new Dashboard visualizations makes it clear and simple to track your work and celebrate your achievements.
3) Refined Unsubscribe Attribution
We improved our unsubscribe message attribution to reduce misleading unsubscribe spikes and provide more precise engagement data to shape your targeting decisions.
Previously, opt-outs were tied to broadcast messages based on time relative to the most recent broadcast message. Now, unsubscribes will only be attributed when:
- The subscriber texts an opt-out keyword or phrase (including any custom phrases)
- The last message they received was a broadcast.
Additionally, unsubscribes will now be attributed to Recurring Messages! Any recurring message created on or after Nov 4, 2025 will now correctly attribute unsubscribes back to the originating recurring message.
Other Updates
1) Inbox: Redesigned Message Confirmation Modal
We’ve rolled out a refresh to the message confirmation modal to show you additional configuration settings and a clearer review experience before sending. This update adds the recent Message Goal set during configuration, message name, message preview, and a visual update to our modern UI standards speeding up scannability.
The new modal improves clarity and confidence at send time, reducing errors, and creating a more consistent end-to-end experience across message creation, review, and send.
2) Inbox: Hide/Unhide Sensitive Content
Sometimes replies are inappropriate, offensive, or a potential security risk. You can now protect your organization and staff by hiding sensitive content in Inbox, giving you control over what information is visible to all your users.
Sensitive content can be hidden or unhidden by simply clicking on it to maintain privacy.
As part of this feature, Inbox will automatically detect and hide replies including credit card information texted in by subscribers. This is an additional layer of protection that maintains subscriber security and trust by preventing sensitive financial data from being viewed or shared by staff who do not need access to it.
Tatango is commitment to high privacy and security standards which protect our customers, users, and subscribers. This enhancement limits the exposure of sensitive information to your users and staff.
3) Integration Release: Blackbaud CRM (BBCRM) – Daily Sync Support
Tatango can now sync contact data from Blackbaud CRM (BBCRM) using a simple, flexible daily file-based workflow supporting organizations with either on-prem or cloud hosted applications.
Many BBCRM customers are still hosted on-prem and prefer to host the export themselves so they could more precisely control which constituents sync to Tatango and how the data is shaped.
How it works:
- Organizations define their own export in BBCRM (SQL, filters, and scheduling).
- Files are delivered to an SFTP destination—BBCRM’s native SFTP or any cloud path via Azure, Power Automate, etc.
- Tatango automatically picks up the daily file and adds/updates subscribers based on the provided dataset.
- This method works for any BBCRM environment and gives customers full control over their data pipeline.
Note: Pushing opt-outs back into BBCRM may be possible however is dependent on the organization’s ability to expose the APIs needed to update the data. Reach out to our customer success team to explore details of this option.
