Qdoba Launches Location Based Text Messaging Loyalty Program

While we’re loyal Chiptole fans here at Tatango, we’re excited to announce that Chipotle competitor, Qdoba restaurant has launched a location based text messaging loyalty program. To join Qdoba’s location-based text messaging loyalty program, all you have to do is text “Q” to the SMS short code 50500. You can see this advertised in their restaurants, in the example below.

Qdoba Location Based Text Messaging Loyalty Program

When Qdoba customers text “Q” to 50500, they’re sent a text message asking them to reply “Y” to share their phone’s location for location based text message deals. After customers reply “Y”, they’re opted-in, as you can see below.

As you can see in the restaurant advertisement above, Qdoba is incentivizing customers to opt-in to their location based text messaging loyalty program by offering free chips & queso to customers. This is a must for restaurants looking to grow their SMS subscribers, as we’ve found that restaurants that incentivize their customers to opt-in, experience 520% more new SMS subscribers than restaurants that don’t incentivize customers to opt-in.
