Recently our good friends at HipCricket released their 2011 Mobile Marketing Survey Results. You can download the full research brief here, but I’ve extracted all of the relevant statistics concerning SMS marketing and embedded them below.
- 86% of respondents said they used text messaging at least once per week.
- 30% of respondents said they interacted with a brand via text messing.
- 33% of respondents said they would be interested in participating in a mobile loyalty program from a trusted brand.
- 12% of respondents said they have participated in a mobile customer loyalty program in the past.
While their survey results were considerable different than our 2011 SMS Marketing Survey results, either way, mobile marketing, SMS marketing and mobile loyalty clubs all look like marketing channels ready to explode in 2012.
