62% of 25-34 Year Olds Own Smartphones

Only 43% of all mobile users have a smartphone, but when you look at recent numbers from the Q3 Nielsen Report, mobile users 25-34 years old tell a very different story. 62% of mobile phone users between 25 and 34 years old now own a smartphone.

What’s crazy is that back in Q3 of 2010 that number was only 41%, which means over the last year this age group has increased ownership of smartphones by a ridiculously massive 51% increase. It’s now fair to say that if you are in the 25-34 year old age group and don’t own a smartphone, you are officially in the minority.
