Abercrombie & Fitch has devised a unique SMS marketing strategy to increase their SMS click-through rates in their text message promotions. There’s nothing worse than getting a text message promotion that doesn’t apply to you, so to fix this Abercrombie & Fitch came up with their own ingenious hack.
Instead of sending text message subscribers, who are both male and female to the same website, Abercrombie & Fitch has started to include two different website links in their text message promotions. As you can see from the text message below sent from their dedicated short code 231-892, they’ve included a link for their male SMS subscribers, and a link for their female SMS subscribers. By doing this, Abercrombie & Fitch is able to increase SMS click-through rates, as they’re able to offer a more custom experience, than just taking all their SMS subscribers to the same mobile landing page.
