What Is an RCS Quick Reply Button?

An RCS message is a form of text messaging that is more feature-rich than SMS messaging or MMS messaging. RCS allows for high-definition images, videos, and buttons, and one of those buttons is a Quick Reply button.

So what is a Quick Reply button? At its core, a Quick Reply button is a suggested prompt message displayed to a phone user after an RCS message is sent to them.

For example, instead of the message telling the user to “Reply ‘Yes’ To confirm”, there would be a suggested response button below the RCS message that allows the user to directly select ‘Yes’. This response would then be processed by the RCS bot, and the given command would be executed.

Below are examples of RCS quick reply buttons in action.
