What Is P2P Mobile Messaging?

Person-to-person (P2P) messaging refers to an individual text messaging another individual. For example, every text message that you send to family or friends is P2P messaging.

The only reason that P2P messaging is relevant to SMS marketing is as a point of comparison. SMS marketing doesn’t use P2P messaging; it uses A2P or application-to-person messaging. This means that a software application sends the text messages to the intended recipients.
