What is a QR code? I read an interesting study today from Dubit Research, a UK based youth communications firm. The research group surveyed 1,000 teens between 11-18 years of age with an equal balance between gender and age. They showed each teen a QR Code and asked them to identify what they were looking at. The results are below, but aren’t that good for mobile marketers as only 33% of the teens could correctly answer the question of what is a QR code.
On a positive note for mobile marketing, 74 per cent of those teens surveyed who had used a QR code in the past, say it was worth doing so.
