At Tatango we want to encourage group text messaging as much as possible, but doing it while driving could now cost you!
A new law went into effect in Washington State (Tatango is located in Seattle) on July 1, 2008 which is going to try to fight the growing amount of texting drivers.
Under the new laws, drivers who read and compose text messages or talk on a cell phone without a hands-free device could face a $101 ticket. The text-messaging ban takes effect Jan. 1; the cell-phone law will be enforced starting in July 2008.
So feel free to Tatango at school, at your home, in the gym, in the club, at work, on the field and wherever else you may find yourself, but try not to Tatango while your driving!
