General

What is Tatango?

  • Tatango offers an easy-to-use platform that allows any group to stay connected through text and voice messaging. As an all in one solution, Tatango allows any group to collect, manage and mobile message all of their group members both from a computer and mobile phone. Tatango was born from the promise of giving groups the ability to stay connected anytime, anywhere. Tatango is permission-based, spam-free and cost-free to consumers.

Who is Tatango?

  • Tatango was created by a small group of entrepreneurs that believe groups should have the ability to be connected anytime, anywhere. Our team includes entrepreneurs, troublemakers, marketers, developers and artists. Tatango was founded in 2007 and has come to include these crazy characters.

Do I get charged for each message I send through Tatango?

  • You do not get charged for any of the messages you send from your Tatango account. For example, if you have a group of 50 members and send a message to your group from your Tatango account, it would cost you nothing, we cover the costs! There is no connection between your phone number and the messages you send, as all messages are sent through Tatango's shortcode number.

How do I STOP group text messages?

  • You can stop text messages to your mobile phone by replying to any group text message with the word STOP. You can also login to your account, and click on the “my account” tab at the top of the page and you will be able to remove yourself from any groups that you have joined. For more information click here. If you have done these steps to stop messages and you continue to receive text messages, email abuse@tatango.com with the group name, date, and time you received the message and we will resolve the issue immediately.

Are the advertisements safe for my group?

  • Tatango advertisements go through an extensive screening process to make sure they are appropriate for any type of group. We refuse to take ads promoting pornography, adult products, alcohol, tobacco and guns. However, if you are still uncomfortable with the ads and would like to remove them, you can do so by upgrading your account.
