In addition to the good news about the world not ending today, we’ve also heard that US Cellular has changed their decision on increasing SMS rates for SMS marketing providers.
This news comes only a few days after they announced the increased tax on SMS marketers. It looks like US Cellular realized that going forward with something like this would only force their customers to move wireless carriers, to gain access to popular SMS services like Tatango. I think this is a win-win situation for both SMS marketing providers and US Cellular at the end of the day.
