Great question! Let's say you sign up to receive information about music at a club, but that club is sending you other information that you have no interest in, you will leave that group, and no longer receive any of their text messages. (see here how to leave a text messaging group: http://tatango.com/blog/?p=132 ) From a clubs perspective now they have completely lost you as a customer from receiving the alerts you actually wanted, so it's in the best interest of the club to only send you text messages that apply to what you are interested.

We don't monitor messages that go through Tatango so the best deterrent for a group not to spam is that their members will leave their group.

What happens to people who use Tatango to spam? Like you sign up to know about music at a club, but the club sends you a bunch of other stuff too?
