Text Message Donations for Hurricane Harvey - Text HARVEY to 90999

If you’re interested in donating to the Red Cross to support Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, text HARVEY to 90999 to donate $10. No credit card needed, as this is a carrier billing campaign, meaning the donation will be added to your wireless phone bill.

How much impact can SMS donations have on disaster relief efforts? During Hurricane Sandy, 20% of all the money raised by the Red Cross to bring relief to the victims affected by the disaster, were from SMS donations.

Harvey is no longer a hurricane, but life-threatening flooding continues in and around Houston, overburdening resources in the country’s fourth-largest city. To help support the Red Cross in their Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, text HARVEY to 90999 to donate $10.

As we said above, the Red Cross short code 90999 is using carrier billing, allowing this non-profit to add SMS donations directly to consumer’s wireless phone bills.
