Welcome to the third day of QR Code Week here at Tatango. On Monday we gave you a video lesson on how to integrate QR codes into SMS marketing, Tuesday we gave you the worlds very first QR Code Generator for SMS marketing and today we’re stepping it up a notch.
Today we’re not only showing you a business that embraced QR codes for their SMS marketing campaign, but also did it in a very big way!
Let us introduce you to SeeSound Lounge in our hometown of Seattle, WA. As you can see below, this nightclub has taken their SMS QR code and created a 5X5 foot wall decal with the help of Surface Collective.
It’s a little hard to see in the photo above, but it’s interesting to note that this QR code advertisement follows the Mobile Marketing Association’s U.S. Best Practices for advertising an SMS marketing campaign (section 1.2-4) including the following.
Also, because not everyone has a QR code scanner, the nightclub has done the correct thing by telling club goers to text SOUND to 68398 underneath the QR code wall decal.
