Recently our good friends at Microsoft Tag released an infographic highlighting the continued growth in mobile coupon usage. I’ve embedded the infographic below, but one of the statistics that caught my eye as it pertains to SMS coupons, I wanted to point out.
When it comes to preferred methods of receiving mobile coupons according to U.S. mobile phone owners, text messaging captures over 50% of the market share. This outweighs email, apps, qr codes and even location based check-ins. This is definitely great news for SMS coupons and even better news for businesses that are currently embracing SMS coupons to reach their customers.
