People receive 4x more email than text messages, resulting in messages being lost in the inbox or the email going to the spam folder. With SMS, there is only one inbox where the message can go, therefore the message has a higher rate of being read immediately. When you receive a text, most open the message immediately, while with e-mail, we tend to skip over the e-mails that are not pertinent at that moment. What are you waiting for? Skip the clutter and send a text!
